About Us

At Happy Fins, we're not just another swim school; we're a family-run, local business with a deep commitment to providing a fin-tastic experience from the moment you step through our doors. Created by Nick & Amanda in 2023, a couple that share a passion for swimming that are diving into opening more than just a swim school together.

Amanda has had a love of swimming since a young age, going on to represent Cambridge and Biggleswade at County level swimming before becoming a swim teacher. Nick has been working with some of the best private swim schools for nearly 10 years. Together their knowledge and passion will bring something different to a families experience of swimming lessons.

Our swim school has been carefully crafted by parents, swimmers, and experienced instructors who share a common goal - to nurture a love for swimming and ensure the safety of every child in and around the water. We're not a faceless corporation; we're fellow parents. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of building a close-knit swimming community that supports one another.

We believe that every accomplishment, no matter how small, deserves recognition. That's why we've developed an award scheme that allows every swimmer to grow and feel pride in their achievements, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.

With a maximum ratio of two children to one instructor for our swimmers aged 3+, and small groups for our 3 months to 3 year infants - you'll be guided through your journey with our swim-play approach.

At Happy Fins, we prioritise water safety education and instill essential life-saving skills to protect our young swimmers in and around water, whilst building character and respect for water.

Welcome to Happy Fins Swim School, where we're not just teaching swimming; we're building a community, celebrating achievements, and creating a safer world for our children.

Crafted by parents, swimmers, and experienced instructors who share a common goal - to nurture a love for swimming and ensure the safety of every child in and around the water.

“A positive experience and a creative teacher can lead to a life time of loving the water.”
